Has your diet been failing time and time again you never want to embark on another diet again? Have you been failing so much you’ve resigned to fate that you’d never look good in your favourite jeans?
Please do not do that!
Some tips here to make your diet successful, you have never felt so good about yourself.
1. Stop seeing it as a “diet”
This is a big factor why people fail. I cannot stress this enough. Stop seeing what you’re doing as a diet. Look at it as healthy living, which it is! You do not starve yourself, or deprive yourself severely of most of the food that you enjoy in a short period of time, as a desperate measure to trim your body in the shortest period.
Truth is, you’re inculcating yourself to pick up a better lifestyle, to exercise and eat healthily, and to cut down on junk food. They don’t benefit you in any way, anyway!
2. Drink water like you’re in Sahara.
A gallon of water, daily. Or at least 8 glasses a day. That is a lot but do keep drinking!
Water has many benefits, and is also important to women who exercise because they lose a lot of liquid when they sweat. Dehydration will cause your body to hold on to unnecessary sodium store. This could make your puffy and bloated when the body holds TEN POUNDS of unneeded fluids. Water also prevents headache and helps to metabolize fat.
Teeth marks on the tongue and yellow/dark yellow urine are signs of dehydration. Get drinking!
In a nutshell, drinking alone can help you shed 10 pounds of excess fluids and puffiness!
3. Never stop by unplanned food stops!
When you’re running errands, or taking a stroll around the mall. There’ll always be this store, the smell so strong from 10 metres away. But don’t stop!!! You could go over your calorie count and fail your whole best weight loss diet. This could kill your morale as well. Walk pass quickly, think about how it would throw your whole eating day off and think about what you are going to eat each day. Come up with a negative approach with the smell.
4. Cheat once a week, eat whatever you want.
Come on, even the skinny chicks need a break. Yummy, healthy food could be the way to go, but for every single day? No way! Each and every one of us have secret pleasures that we would like to indulge in. What are yours? Loosen the reins and eat what you want, for a day a week. Restraining yourself from eating will result in binging and in turn fails your diet. So loosen up!
5. Eat smaller meals throughout the day.
